Lys-Ange Ake

Lys-Ange Ake is an administrative professional and community-minded leader whose approach to service is grounded in responsibility, structure, and care for others. As the first granddaughter in a large extended family, she was often looked to as a caregiver and organizer—a role that shaped her sense of accountability and her belief in the importance of creating stability for those around her.

​

Born and raised in Ivory Coast, Lys-Ange came to the United States in 2007 and brings a global perspective to her work and leadership. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business Management and spent several years working in accounting and business before transitioning into the education sector. Since 2025, she has served as an Administrative Assistant in a school, where clear communication, organization, and follow-through are essential.

Elected Secretary of Family Promise of Hudson County in January 2026, Lys-Ange is honored to support the board through thoughtful documentation, strong organizational practices, and consistent alignment with the mission to help families experiencing housing insecurity move toward stability and a secure place to call home.
